Life of a Farmer
The person who does the work of farming is known as a farmer. He cultivates land and grows crops. Bangladesh is an aggro based country and all the people in our country directly or indirectly depend on agriculture. A farmer is a very important person in our society. Generally , he lives in a village and his house is made of corrugated iron sheets and straws. He earns his livelihood by the sweat of his brow.
he works from morning till evening. He gets up very early in the morning. Then he takes a little breakfast. He goes to his field with a wooden plow and a pair of bullocks. He cultivates and prepares his land with simple hand made tools. Sometimes he is too busy that he can not make time to go home for his lunch. He does not know what rest is. A farmer has both pleasures and pains in life. He gets pleasure when he has a good harvest. But he gets pain when his crops are destroyed by droughts, floods or cyclones. Though a farmer works hard, he cannot meet the basic needs of his family. In our country, the life of a farmer is not so good. He is illiterate. He does not know how to cultivate his land scientifically. He lives from hand to mouth. He also suffers in many disease. An ideal farmer is an asset to the country. Though the service of a farmer is great important, he does not get his due respect. So we should have soft feeling for him so that he can lead decent life with dignity.
